After the acquisition of Oscar Mayer and the merger with Navidul in 2000, Campofrio Spain became leader on the Spanish market and one of the most important players on the European meat by-products market.
The evolution of the Group's turnover for the last 5 years is as follows (chart with figures below):

Full year consolidated group sales totalled 1.077 billion euro in 2003, compared to 1.411 billion in 2002. This difference resulted due to the discontinuation of the Portuguese fresh meats operations, the sale of one of Campofrio plant in Poland and the departure of Primayor from the group's fresh meats activities
Success in the innovation programmes and the new products' excellent performances enabled an improvement in material margins and a continuous development of products portfolio.
These factors left cumulative full-year Ebitda at 100.8 million euro, a 9.5% increase compared to 2002.
